Projects fund of KUT Students'
Project fund of KUT Student Union is a fund to which applications can be rendered by Student unions of faculties of KUT for caring out events, shares or other activities.
Projects are provided to coordinate of projects and international relations of KUT Students’ representation’s by Faculty’s Students’ representation. The coordinate overviews all applications and submits proposals for funding (along with the presidium). KUT commission distributes the funds, where funds are allocated by overall decision.
"Giving smile"
By the help of project fund all 1st year students’ “christening” and camps are funded. Although these events also partly funded: “ Giving smile” (action for children’s home); “InfoShow” (festival for students, composed of various promotions, entertainment and conferences such as cockroach racing, hunting legend, bars’ night and etc.); "KUT Lady" (an event which includes the gathering coolest girl of Kaunas University of Technology, winner represent University country-wide); Mr. Kaunas (the coolest student of Kaunas is elected in this competition); “Rafes festival” (a few days-long event where students participate in horse races, blind dating, and other campaigns as well as the closure of the festival, which takes place in four different styles of music in four halls) and other events organized by Faculties’ Students’ Representations.
BALTECH – the union connecting 8 Baltic technical universities in five countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Finland). BALTECH Student Body (which includes KUT Students’ Representation) is the same universities Students' Union. The main purpose of this union: to ensure cooperation between the students’ representatives, to initiate the exchange, sharing the experience, workshops.
Several times a year universities’ administrations of BALTECH and Students’ Representatives meet in conference of science and further cooperation issues.
BALTECH Student Body carrying out BALTECH Student Exchange Program for several years now. This exchange projects are carried out by various university students. For example KUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics students contact with Finland Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (of course, the university's of BALTECH Union) and agree on cooperation. By completing the application form and receipt of funding, a few days exchange is implemented. During the program lectures, companies, events are being visited, comparing students’ municipal activities. This is an excellent opportunity for every KUT student to see and compare studies with foreign universities and find unforgettable friends.

KUT SU actively cooperates with various student organizations from Europe, Turkey and Azerbaijan in the international week-long student exchanges and training. International projects are up to 10 days, during which the organizers of a program for you, pay 100% of accommodation, meals, insurance and visa costs and returns of 70% of travel costs.
To these exchanges may leave both: the students from Students Union and students who don’t belong to the Union. KUT SU is announcing the tenders in the website and notice boards and faculties and after collecting all the applications, the selection is held. To travel to the project you need to write a cover letter and send it to the invitation to tender to contact us.
