Established in 1993, KTU SA's activity is to represent the interests of university students at the university and in the Lithuanian Students' Union. It is an excellent example of a student movement uniting about 300 KTU students from different faculties and fields of study. We try to make sure that we, the students, not only have great studies but also great spaces and cultural experiences in the University environment. Therefore, we contribute not only to the improvement of the study process but also to the organization of various initiatives, events, and social actions.
The student voice is a critical indicator in the study process, so if you have serious concerns, get in touch! We are here to fight for you and your colleagues because we are well aware of students' rights, duties, and opportunities in KTU and Lithuanian education.
Every KTU student is an active and creative citizen and a responsible leader of society.
To provide academic and community activities at KTU that ensure a good student experience at the University.
Responsibility. Carrying, nurturing, and representing your voice responsibly.
Leadership. It is leading students forward and striving to show the best direction towards the highest quality of studies!
Community. It's uniting both students and student organizations to nurture and grow studenthood.
Initiative. A willingness to take on new challenges all the time. There's a problem - we solve the problem
Integrity. It is the desire to provide fair and reasoned solutions to the detriment of the student and the quality of their studies
Openness. It is sharing your life, its victories, and defeats, and making sure that people from the outside know what is going on in the KTU SA "Garden".
Any accredited student of KTU or a joint study program who is a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania or who resides in the Republic of Lithuania can become a member of KTU SA. More information about KTU SA membership and belonging to KTU SA bodies is set out in the KTU SA Statutes, which can be found here.
KTU SA consists of 8 faculty student associations (FSA) and the Central Bureau (which is made up of the president and the president’s team). Each of them has its members, events, and traditions. Most of the time, the faculty representatives are the first intermediary between the student and the faculty administration. They are also the students who introduce the first-year students to the university, curate the first-year groups, and organize Freshman camps.
The FSA is the place where you can always turn to when you have concerns, disagreements with lecturers, or just a lot of ideas that the FSA can help you implement.
