While studying at Kaunas University of Technology, students can overcome all academic challenges with the following support tools.

Tutors

Volunteer students who will help you to deepen your knowledge in a particular field (mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, etc.). Tutors can also help you to improve your academic skills (writing assignments, preparing and presenting presentations, analyzing data).

Tutoring schedule and procedure can be found on the KTU AIS platform, under the "Tutoring" tab, by selecting the "Tutoring" button (AIS -> "Tutoring" -> "Tutoring") or by clicking here.

Academic mentors

Members of academic staff (scientists or researchers) who are experienced in the field of science. They can advise on research activities or help you get started in research.

An academic mentor focuses on the student's individual needs and goals, i.e., the student as a person in general. Seeing the whole picture, he/she can advise the student on how to achieve his/her academic or career goals. When a student clearly understands these, he or she is much more likely to learn and perform better and graduate more successfully.

You can find an academic mentor on the KTU AIS platform by searching for the "Mentoring Programme" section in the "Home" tab (AIS → "Home" → "Mentoring Programme" → "Academic Mentor") or by clicking here.

Career mentors

A person with professional experience who mentors a student on career planning and personal development. They are a person who has achieved their life goals with the knowledge and competencies they have acquired, and who pass on their best practices and knowledge to a less experienced person - the student.

You can find a career mentor on the KTU AIS platform, in the "Home" section by searching for the "Mentoring Programme" section (AIS → "Home" → "Mentoring Programme" → "Career Mentor") or by clicking here.
